I will stamp all over 'legitimate boxer' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua will face Jake Paul in an eight-bout match which will be shown live on the streaming platform.

British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" the American and "defeat" the American as the combatants confronted each other to promote next month's boxing match.

Former twice world heavyweight champion Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge mismatch - at Miami's venue on December 19th.

Boxer's Mindset

"I will injure his face and break his body up. My goal is to show I'm superior," the British boxer, 35 years old, said.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I intend to seriously aim to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."

Civil Exchange

Despite these statements, a composed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - usually famous for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.

Jake Paul instead criticized former Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "not serious" after Ngannou turned down a match opportunity.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at British opponent Tyson Fury - and rejected a large bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a victory for Paul.

"Jake Paul is better than Fury - he's present here," Joshua commented.

"I respect him for that."

Serious Opponent

Despite stating he plans to damage his opponent, Joshua refused to talk badly about his rival's fighting skills.

"Jake is a serious fighter," he remarked.

Jake Paul's Background

Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mainly fought MMA fighters or declining opponents since becoming pro.

He lost to Briton Fury in last year.

Commercial Success

However, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of boxing's greatest financial successes, frequently receiving huge earnings.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28 year old anticipated a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would prevent the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly in the works for 2026.

"It's going to be my match with Fury in the coming year," Paul said.

Physical Disparity

As Joshua and Paul participated in the customary stare-down, with their size difference on show, it drove home just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the match is actually proceeding.
