Major Moscow's Assaults Disrupt Power Across Ukraine's Capital

Energy infrastructure targeted in the region
Ukraine's power facilities have faced increased strikes in the past few days

During the night, Moscow's missile and drone strikes have caused electricity outages in large parts of the capital city, Kyiv.

Nine people were injured while residents in the city's east were left without electricity and encountered interruptions to water supplies, per reports from local authorities.

Simultaneously, a seven-year-old child was killed in a different aerial attack in the Zaporizhzhia area in the southeastern part, according to regional authorities.

Moscow has increased attacks on power infrastructure over the past few days, while officials has demanded "substantial measures" from allies to exert influence on Russia.

"What's needed is not superficial actions but firm measures - from the America, European nations and the Group of Seven - in delivering protection systems and applying restrictions," was stated in a online statement.

Authorities reported that hundreds of unmanned aircraft and more than 30 rockets struck energy facilities, characterizing such assaults as "strategic and deliberate" and against "essential services" as the weather cools.

Government representatives said Moscow was "launching a major assault" and technical staff were laboring to restore power.

A barrage of missiles struck power facilities and civilian homes in Kyiv.

Five out of the nine people hurt in the assaults on the capital have been transported for medical care, as confirmed by city authorities.

Area administrators said the urban area endured significant strikes throughout the evening. A minor was killed and several individuals were injured.

The assaults succeed evenings of bombing campaigns in the territory, sections of which are currently controlled by Moscow's military.

The whole nation is under warning for advanced weapon attacks, which are tougher to identify.

National leaders told reporters that Russia was purposely seeking to demolish the country's energy grid, with assaults already affecting gas facilities.

Authorities confirmed utility staff and officials were anticipating more assaults.
