Area Law Enforcement
Around fifty vehicles have been marked with what seems to be human blood in the Germany's town of Hanau near Frankfurt, as reported by law enforcement.
Cars, walls and postboxes were marked, sometimes with Nazi symbols, they announced in a statement.
Law enforcement report they were contacted late on Wednesday evening, when a resident discovered that a automobile in the Lamboy neighborhood of Hanau had been smeared with a reddish-hued liquid.
The liquid had been drawn in the form of a banned symbol, they added.
Police then discovered many other smeared vehicles and building exteriors in the surrounding area.
Swastikas are banned in Germany under legislation outlawing the public display of Nazi-era symbols.
Officials state initial examinations show the substance was probably human bodily fluid.
"Currently there is no indication as to where it came from; officials are presently not aware of any injuries in association with the incident," they commented.
Local authorities announced they were attempting "to solve the case" and have requested to the public for details.
An important official said the incident made him speechless and needed to be addressed rapidly.
"This incident hits the core of Hanau and reawakens the wounds of the far-right attack five years ago," he wrote on a platform, mentioning the murder of nine individuals by a assailant focusing on individuals of immigrant origin in February 2020.
